ADVICE FOR LANDLORDS WHEN CHOOSING WALL COLORS

It's sad that most landlords in Jos, after building a really beautiful structure would pick just about anybody who knows how to handle a painting brush to paint the building.

Because I can never understand the weird Colors and combos on most of the new buildings around town.

Using weird Color pallets and combinations on the outside can be forgivable, I mean, it's not even the occupant's house right? So he/she can manage.

But the inside?? Nah!

Why should a modern house be having all sorts of colors on each part of the wall? Besides, from our experience, most clients like to have a neutral color palette, say white or cream. Which is the standard for modern and contemporary interior designs.

It doesn't make sense that a tenant would spend 800k-1million(and above) on rent and still have to spend extra to repaint the interior walls simply because the building engineers like to play with colors like a school child.

The standard color for a new building should be white or at least cream. Which is what most clients want. That way, if the few occupants who want to have a colored walls, can decide to repaint to their desired color.

Because the truth is, even if a tenant likes a colored wall, they may still not like the one the landlord or building engineer chose and with my little knowledge in painting, repainting a white wall consumes lesser paint than colored walls. Which will be easier for the tenant.

By the way, hiring a professional and skilled interior designer still remains the best thing to do.
